What's Potter Gallery?
The answer is that it was a dream of a 7-8 year-old boy, 34 years ago, who was born and raised in the upcountry, surrounded by the woods and a river. He was happy among his parents, grandparents, and everyone in his village.
What we have seen is the work of art, which is a combination of the skills of carving and a 40-year working experience of the artist. The concepts of nature, philosophy, and life experience are transformed into it.
In my whole life, the hottest moment has always been the moment when the mud is melt to make a strong sculpture, while being poured with cold water. Having lived almost past mid-life teaches me that a happy mind depends on a balance, not too much and not too little as well as not too cold and not too hot. The state of imbalance in life causes anxiety and discomfort, which can lead to unhappiness.

My happiness is to be able to see everyone happy and to see everything stay as natural as it can. Nature has its rules and they stay true forever. One of its rules is the ever changing of all things in the world. I personally think that everything, including ourselves, changes as time goes by. If we agree with the concept of changing and willingly accept it as the rule of nature, we will be happy and ready for anything, good or bad, that will happen to us. Our mind controls our life.
My work and concept of art work has always been copied by others. I have had to change the styles, colors, and presentations, or even names of my work to prevent the copying. However, the term "Sala-mor-lan-na," which means the well-experienced potter of Lan-na, will not be changed since the name has been officially registered for right protection. I have to say that there still are some people who do art work for the sake of materialism. But I am not like them. I present my idea through art work. In other words, an art work for the sake of art work. Communicating through my art work is what makes me happy. I have planned to spend the rest of my life travelling through the places in the world and transform all my experience into the work of art. I would like to hold on to a saying of an artist, "Life is short, but art is forever." I will present the art work that supports peace and happiness of the world until my last day on earth.
The obstacles in my work would be those of language barrier, distance, transportation, websites, emailing, etc. I have spent my whole life on art, nature, philosophy, and belief and life of others, and I don't think I have more time left for those obstacles.
However, I depend on others who will help me out to get rid of those problems. I have people who will give good services to customers, deliver the art works, etc.
